Well...
I have owned my truck for about a year and the horn has never worked. I got to thinking the other day that I had never checked to be sure the wiring was connected to the horns, and sure enough it wasn't. So I hooked the clips to the 2 horns and sure enough they worked... Great! Well, I let the truck sit overnight and the next night the batteries were dead. So I unhooked the horns and recharged the batteries and everything was good. I waited a few days, hooked up the horns again and sure enough they drained the batteries overnight (now I know why they weren't hooked up

Obviously they are creating a draw on the battery, my question is what within the horn system could actually cause a drain (it's not like the horns are activated when the horn button isn't depressed)
Any ideas at all? I haven't done any voltmeter work to diagnose yet, I just can't figure out how the horns could logically drain the batteries???
