I’ve had gas motors from Toyota to ford v10s get well into the 500k. I’ve seen many diesels get close to a million. My family has a 1991 7.3idi with 750k. Mt 1990 f350 7.3 has less than 100k so who knows. It really depends on how it was taken care of and how it was used or abused.
My buddy had a 6.9 bullnose 350 he towed a tractor around with, it died around the +500k mark

I just rolled 365K in the 86 6.9.
These engines do not have a timing Chain or Timing Belt.
So I think that helps on the long life of these engines.
A broken one takes one out pretty fast.
No Valves to adjust.
They have mechanical fuel Injection, so nothing electrical to fail, except maybe the Fuel shut off thingy.
Not the fastest engine on the highway, but will always get you there.
You just bought a used truck, so you will have to take care of the previous owners lack of maintenance and abuse.
