Got the truck back on wednesday.
Still not completely fixed. But close enough that I am willing to drive it. I don't think I am damaging anything by doing so. Thinking that the remaining "drag" may just work itself out over time. Possibly stuff is just still stiff from sitting for so many years.
Yesterday, went to a friend's house for thanksgiving. While there, I did some small things to the truck.
New bumper under the hood. Old one was broken off. Now the hood closes correctly, and doesn't rattle around.
New door jamb switch. Now the overhead comes on when the door is open.
License plate light was corroded solid. Not working. Knew it would be dark before I got home, and didn't want to get stopped for that. (This is why I was working on the truck on turkey day at a friend's house.
Otherwise I would have waited till today.) So, I put a new one on.
This is the light I installed:

Man, that sucker is BRIGHT! Almost works as a backup light!
I won't get stopped for lack of a light, now. But maybe to tell me it's TOO bright? Also think it might help with all the tailgaters we have here. Maybe they'll back off a bit because it's so bright?
Today I am torn between working on it... (Headlight relays, and side mirror.) Or putting it to work. Still not real sure exactly what I m going to do.
First thing, though, is to unload it.
