I bought these for my '06 after riding in my buddy's truck that has them, huge difference in ride. Haven't got to installing them yet (along with mountains of other stuff). Sulastic rubber shackles, they suck up the first inch or so of those small, sharp jolts that go up your spine then they bottom out and the leafs take over.

Do you put those on front and rear?

Never mind. :D

Also: 420 bucks, and only warrantied to last 3 years? Yeesh!

Selahdoor, I just realized your trucks are 4wd. Do they have the TTB or Dana 60 setup? I hear the TTB leaf spring setup in the F250s were quite hard riding...so my earlier wisecrack may not work as well as I thought.

I have no idea. Remind me of this when I get the truck back again, and tell me how to know the difference. :D

Well...I guess if it's the rear that are too stiff, then seatback will try to throw you forward over the steering wheel. If it's the front springs, then the steering wheel tries to throw you up toward the back window.:dunno

Got the truck back on wednesday.

Still not completely fixed. But close enough that I am willing to drive it. I don't think I am damaging anything by doing so. Thinking that the remaining "drag" may just work itself out over time. Possibly stuff is just still stiff from sitting for so many years.

Yesterday, went to a friend's house for thanksgiving. While there, I did some small things to the truck.

New bumper under the hood. Old one was broken off. Now the hood closes correctly, and doesn't rattle around.

New door jamb switch. Now the overhead comes on when the door is open.

License plate light was corroded solid. Not working. Knew it would be dark before I got home, and didn't want to get stopped for that. (This is why I was working on the truck on turkey day at a friend's house. LOL Otherwise I would have waited till today.) So, I put a new one on.

This is the light I installed: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Bolt-12-LED-License-Plate/dp/B0083Y0WL2

Man, that sucker is BRIGHT! Almost works as a backup light! LOL I won't get stopped for lack of a light, now. But maybe to tell me it's TOO bright? Also think it might help with all the tailgaters we have here. Maybe they'll back off a bit because it's so bright?

Today I am torn between working on it... (Headlight relays, and side mirror.) Or putting it to work. Still not real sure exactly what I m going to do.

First thing, though, is to unload it.

I don't really know where else to ask this.

I need a step to get into the truck with. Cheap.

I've searched all over the place, but there is so much conflicting information about what works and what doesn't I find one, and it says it works, then i find the same one elsewhere and it says it won't work with my truck.

Anyone have any ideas?

(This is for the 92 f250 that this thread is about)

I tried to pay a lot of attention to this... Doesn't seem to throw me either direction, more than the other.
A Dana 60 is a solid (live) axle while the TTB is "independent".
I looked this morning. All I see is one solid axle all the way across in the front. Looks just like the back except for the swiveling wheels/rotors...

Ill try to remember to get a picture.

Apparently somebody swapped it in. I'm pretty sure that our era of F250s only came with the Dana50 or 44HD.

You can always make your own step u have seen some made with old/new horse shoes and just about anything else that is solid my original running board was that diamond pattern aluminum had a small crack in it so I took them off plus places I was hauling out of started to rub on them.

Ok, I'm not real sure what I am looking at, then. Here are three pics taken this morning, from the front of the truck. Cany anyone identify what I have here?

I might *almost* make my own. I have a broken one from my old truck. I might cut some steel plates and such, and try to fix it, and see if it will then work on this one.

Too bad the 92 doesn't match the superduty in this regard. I have running boards that will fit a superduty.

In fact, if anyone wants them, you can have them. But I won't ship, idioit... :D :rotflmao

Yup. Definitely a twin traction beam setup.

Depending on how those running boards are put together, you might just be able to cut them down to fit. I took my running boards off because I absolutely hate knocking holes in the body where even more road salt can get in.
