The 6.4 filter setup might work good on the factory turbo trucks. Great idea! Awesome filtration and more than enough flow. Who's gonna be the first to try it??

I think you may be onto something there. that 6.4 intake may very well work. I think it may come in contact with the ac box but it could be made to work. the only thing is, at the point of making it work many things could be done!

If you do use a Spectre/K&N/cotton filter, oil the **** out of it. The oil is what traps the dirt, not the cotton.
It works OK, but not great in any case and you always risk dust going through.

I have a 6.4 filter I intended on putting on my 7.3 PSD, if someone wants it, I'd let it go.

Ok, now I see the difference.

The 6.0 filter goes toward the drivers side and forward toward the core support. The cold side of a 6.0 turbo faces the drivers side.

The 6.4 filter goes toward the passenger side and toward the firewall. The 6.4 cold side faces the passenger side.

The 6.4 does appear to be smaller. I do like the 6.0 battery tray/air filter mount. I might look into that conversation down the road. Kills 2 birds.......

I’ll have to take pictures of all the pieces.

WARNING!
if you use a 6637, do not use a rubber boot to attach your filter to the pipe.
I destroyed a wicked wheel like this.
I have 3.5" intake tube with a 4" PVC coupler.
the only piece of plumbing I used on my set up.
