or dead...engineers in auto companys tend to stick around for awhile lol. could have been some old geezer back in '80 or '81 that was working on it...

Woulda had to have been 76 or 77, as it was rollin' coal in 78. After 5 years of R and D, Ferd ran it production in 83.. selected fleets got it in 81 and up.

That’s genuinely amazing that you still have it or it even exists, my dad didn’t believe me I found the proof of it as he had remembered watching it race when he was super little but thought he was crazy. I hope someone one day will be willing to put the effort time and love into it to try to finish your grandpas dream/nightmare lol. I personally have always been fascinated with this truck, just because of what it is. It inspired me to save for my 72 F250 that I’m eventually gonna do a 6.9 swap on after I build it to the max I can. It would be awesome if they're was video of it going down the track as well…
