Oil pressure

Anyone know what the oil pressure on a 7.3 should be? I have a bad gauge and have added replaced it with a real one and don't know what is normal in #s.

I see 50psi cold and 25 warm at idle. The pressure stays around 50-55 psi warm or cold at rpm.

I use an Autometer Z-series gauge with an electric sender mounted on the trubo's oil gally.

A good average is 40 PSI at cruise. Idle will be low, possibly below 10.

Hot hwy > 42/45
Hot idle > 18/20
Cold > who cares

Mine is 75 plus on a cold startup.... Then its around 25 warmed up and ahows around 50 at anything off idle... I did some shimming on the oil regulater when I rebuilt the motor..
