The IDIs with a E4OD have the Ford OBD1 plug under the hood close to the master cylinder. On vans, I have no idea where it's at.

If it's an OBD1 scanner on an OBS truck the only thing it will check is the transmission, the E4OD. Would the scanner show any reaction if the truck had a manual transmission? Am I right on that?

We need to know more about the truck.

I'm not sure that there's a port for the OBD on a manual transmisson truck. I don't remember that part. All I ever used the OBD port for was to set the FIPL correctly (at least in range).
