been noticing that my truck isn't holding a charge like it used to.
decided to clean battery terminals today and coat them.
top battery negative thread (group 31's) just spun, so I had to cut the nut off.
think I found the problem!

had to steal asmiths batteries till Monday :D
or get these warrantied. their less than 2 years old.
but, my oah my how much quicker the truck starts!

keep your fingers crossed that this was my issue with my stereo issue too lol

if you notice your truck starting sluggish, check your terminals :D

Just delt with my 6.7 psd batteries taking a dump on me last Monday. Tried to charge them so I could at least drive the truck to my mechanic when one of the batteries started to boil over. Sounded like it was about to explode lol. Man did it get hot too.
Bought two AGM batteries from Autozone and I gotta say...those are some badass batts. It's never started this fast from when I picked it up at dealership. Thinking about buying an AGM for the Jeep.
But yeah, emery cloth on batt terminals makes a world of difference if they are corroded.

Yup, I'm a believer in agms.
Main thing I've seen is gotta make sure you don't overcharge it.

Cleaning the battery terminals is a preventative maintenance issue. They MIGHT look clean till you remove the clamp. Then the black crude is found. that acts like an insolater so not much transfer of voltage or amps. If you feel the terminals after cranking to start and find a warm or hot one.. then you found the bad connection.

What we all have is ONE battery in TWO places. If one side goes bad it will bring down the other side quickly. This is why we ALL say buy both batteries at the same time. It is really no different than flashlight batteries; you don't replace one battery and expect the flashlight to work very well.
