Hey man, I'd sure like to find out if you got your problem fixed, because we have a few things in common. My 6.9 does almost the exact same thing. The only difference is my fires right up with brake cleaner. I've replaced lift pump, caps, o rings and return lines. Once you get it giong it will run continously and never die and starts fine the rest of the day provided it dont sit for over five hours. I'm taking the fuel line off the lift pump and making a makeshift fuel tank out of an anti-freeze jug to see if it may be the dual fuel tank selector.
