no fuel out of injector pump

I recsently put heads on my 7.3. The old heads were craked. the injestor worked fine befor i did this. now i cant get fule out of injector pump. i have fule comming out of filter to the injector pump. Every thing is working electricly. i even took the top of the pump off and held the valve open while i cranked it over . Still nothing. Why would the injector pump not work like it did before? Any help would be appreciated.

SO on to your issue you have presented.

You took the cover off the IP and held the fuel stop solenoid open by hand and are getting nothing, yet you claim fuel coming out of the fuel filter correct? Is the fuel at the filter coming out the Schrader valve or the IP feed line? Have you replaced the Olives on the fuel line to the IP? If so could some debris have gotten in there and subsequently blocked off your fuel flow?

Do you have a mechanical or electric lift pump?

Is your starter spinning fast and are your batteries good?

Have you released the lines at the injectors and cranked the engine over watching for fuel?

There is a couple of ways to bleed the injector lines and both work. Leave lines connected hold throttle wide open and crank for about 20 seconds, then crack the lines you should hear a hiss...and wait 2-5 minutes to cool starter and repeat this procedure until fuel spills out most of the injectors....tighten lines and start!

...or remove all the lines, hold the throttle wide open and crank for 20 seconds and wait 2-5 minutes to cool starter and repeat until fuel comes out most injectors, then once the fuel comes out, reconnect the lines and start your truck.

How did you go about swapping heads, did you remove the IP and the IP GEAR cover or leave it on?

Please provide as much detail about what you did and how you went about it so we can better help you with the problem as there are many questions and no answers

Even a gear timing issue would not keep the pump from operating. It just wouldn't start. But if your not seeing fuel at the top of the pump (it sounds like you said you took the top cover off....), then the primary pump in the IP is not operating. So either the pump isn't turning, or there is no fuel present at the inlet. If the pump is turning, and you have fuel to it, then something in the pump took a dump on you.
