it doesnt, it measure cumbustion chamber temp (glow plug resistance). I have always wondered if there was some sort of temp sensor in the module itself.
so is it normal then that my system cycles for the same amount of time no matter what engine temp. i can shut the engine off and then go to start it right away and they cycle for 15 sec. i know the combustion chamber did not cool off that fast.
i have three more plugs. mabey i will put another one in the place that i just replaced and see what happens.
you know, they do stay on for alot less time when the controller is mounted in the back on the na trucks. I noticed when I relocated my controller for the turbo swap they stayed on lots longer when hot.
must be a temp sensor of some sort in the controller.
If you are not going through plugs I wouldnt worry about it.
