part it out, here in az, rust free bodies are common. The motor is a 6.9 500-1000, gv realistically 700, winch 400, Trans 100.

I would easily pay 2000 for tye gv if it was the right one, Which it may be, the 4X4 will go for some, then the engine and trans together, then the complete body and frame. Maybe not a full 6800 but close to 5500 for sure.

Depending on what everything looks like, mileage and such, I doubt they'll have a problem getting it or close to it!

The winch, depending on model, is also a pricey add on! If it's 8500 or better rated, you are looking a $700 + for warn!

It is a nice truck though. And definitely rust free I'm sure. AZ has a dry climate...:sly

Very nice truck, with any asking price CONDITION is everything, When you have one of the nicest "whatever you are selling" up for sale you can ask what you want, Chances are you will get it. Someone out there is looking for this truck, and with a GV, Turbo and beautiful body, you would assume the rest of it is in excellent condition as well.

The problem with this truck is the lack of details and pics, With only one pic it is hard to say what the real condition is, but I would dare to say that it appears to be in Beautiful condition and worth the asking price.

Yes you can get "newer" trucks for the same or less money, I see and deal with that every day. But as I said, it depends on Condition and what the buyer wants.

The truck will sell, Been there done that many times!

Lets see what it would take to "build" this truck,.

$3,500.00 Rust Free F250 Diesel 4x4 in good mechanical shape.
$1,000.00 New paint
$1,500.00 New tires and Rims
$1,500.00 used Gear Vendors installed
$1,200.00 used turbo system installed
$1,000.00 Winch, Winch Bumper off road lights installed
$500.00 Fender Flares, topper and other misc things,

$10,200.00 total just with fair prices and some labor off the top of my head.

So overall $6800.00 and the truck is ready to roll,..is a pretty fair price if ya ask me.

i feel like these trucks are going into a transition era where the price has bottomed out on them and the good ones are starting to climb in value and become collectable.

I say worth every penny. He could have stated whether its an auto or 4 speed. A few more pictures like Darrin said would have been great. You don't see too many 83's for sale let alone one in that condition. A clapped out rust bucket around here goes for $3500, and thats with no add ons and stock worn out tires. With the extras listed its almost like the truck is coming along for free.

Its funny how geography makes things relative. I have not ever seen a truck with a Gearvendors in South Jersey and I only know of a few other rigs in my area that have aftermarket turbos, some of them are members here. The GV and turbo alone make that truck worth looking at, never mind the cherry body-Drool

Your prices are generous, Darrin. I should have left my truck with you if you can source and install a used GV for $1500. IF I could locate one it would be for about a grand around here and a shop would want $1500 to install it. Same goes for the turbo.;Really

I guess geography does make a huge difference, minus the fancy tires and rims that truck is not uncommon here. bodies are clean and easy to source.

you guys need to start monitoring craigslist in the SW. there are allot of deals to be had!

If it were around here it would be gone by now, I've had offers for 5k for my 2wd 162XXX mile rusty (needs 1 quarter panel, and work on both bed sides) F250.
