You would have to move the spring perches though. I had a 78 3/4ton Dana 44 I was going to use but decided not to because the spring perches on it are narrower than the stock Dana 50 TTB. I just decided to hold off till I can find a 60 down the road.

i found a 60 a few years ago but had to take the whole truck to get it for 500 bucks it was worth it! keep looking you may have the same luck!

Yep I hear that one, considering that the axle alone is $900-$1200 in various conditions. I think I priced out all the parts needed (Tie rods, linkage) to be around $300 so it's not too bad since most of it is just bolt up anyway.
Just got to keep your eyes open, never know when a deal will show up.
