Just finished building this for our heavy wrecker. The old one was cracking around the base plates, badly. Down to a pair of 1 1/2" welds on the driver's side.
The boss painted it last weekend, while I was out killing pheasants & beer.(Not at the same time.)

It's all LED, except the spotlights. The amber side lights flash with the mini-bars. There are aluminum diamond plate panels, for the inside sides, and underside.

The last 2 are the old pylon & the truck sans pylon.

Finally installed...

Hopefully, I will have it permanently wired soon. Just tied in the beacons, so I could use it for assisting on recovering a rolled pulling unit. With the integrated underlift, it balances better than the independent underlift on our other heavy.
I still need to install the insulator gaskets(baler belt), brace plates, aluminum treadplate filler panels, and finish the wiring.

As if that isn't enough, the boss bought a tri-axle RGN yesterday. Now we are also installing a wet kit on our W900. Looks like I'm going to get practice on removing & installing our Zacklift(which is currently elec. over hydraulic). Instead of adding a hydraulic tank, we removed one fuel tank, & had a divider installed. Sacrificing 30 gallon of fuel is not a big deal. Two 120 gallon tanks is a bit of overkill, considering how we use our trucks. Honestly, it would probably be more useful with 1 fuel tank, a hydraulic tank, and a 48" toolbox.

Back to the point...
Here's a few pics of the new pylon, mounted.
