I've been looking at a few 2006's and a few early 07's with the 5.9L. Out of these two years were there any majot issues? Any block issues, etc.? I know there was a cracking issue, but I thought that was on the second gens....sorry I've been a Ford guy for a while, so I'm a bit rusty on the Cummins.
Also, if I buy a used rig is there any way to tell if a programmer/downloader was ever used? I plan to mod it myself, but I was wondering about this from a warranty standpoint (as far as what a previous owner my have done) I heard that some of the downloaders will leave a foot-print, but can it be cleared?
I just don't want to start with someone elses problems, etc.

Oh yeah, either looking at MegaCabs, or else longbed quads. If I do the Mega I'm going to have it stretched to an 8' bed. Those of you with the quads and kids.......do you consider the back seat big enough for booster seats and still be able to ride in the front easily?
