Preferably a wastegated ATS turbo that wasn't missing too many parts. Even a turbo in need of a rebuild is OK if the price is right. Just gettin' tired of droppin' to second gear on some of the hills around here;Pissed

Shipping would be to CA 95060.

I'm not sure what the difference between aftermarket 093 and OEM 093 is. I suppose if one was easier/cheaper to rebuild then that would be my preference. But definitely interested.

seems like i recall the aftermarket 093 had a larger output opening for the dp along with a non crushed dp.
where the factory one was bottlenecked in both the output and the crushed dp.........but don't hold me to it.lol been too long since iv read about those in depth.no doubt forgot far more than i thought i ever knew.:D

ford intentionally choked off the exhaust side of the 093 oem in order to keep the IDI from embarassing the new on the block 7.3PSD.
7.3PSD in stock form has no bottom end power. if you want power, you have to do chip and injectors.
093 aftermarket has the opened up exhaust for better breathing and lower EGT's
naturally, the 093 aftermarket will cost more.
do a search here so you know I'm not filling you with ********.

I'll read up on it but I trust ya' towcat, and I certainly trust that the OEM model was shortchanged in some way due to Ford's intervention. How much ya want for the aftermarket setup?

i had to make sure I had all the pieces for a ATS 093 aftermarket kit over the weekend. I would highly reccomend rebuilding the turbo due to the compressor side is showing wear. still, with a worn turbo the hot side housing, elbow, and downpipe will justify a $700 tag for the kit.
Conversely, I have have a Oem kit, that's ready to bolt on for the same price, $700.
thanks to "Typ4", I do have all the new "consumables" gaskets and O-rings for the kits.

you can also take the OEM unit, and cut the exhaust casting, and weld in a 3" v band clamp to promote flow.
must be TIG welded IMO

I do have a "DIY" kit. It's a Banks gen2 non-wastgated kit. the air filter and intake bell are one casting. turbo needs rebuilding, not all the parts are there. you will have to source parts, I know the up pipes and the downpipe is missing. everything else "appears" to be there. $180 for what's there.

The aftermarket model is still my preference. How much would you guess the rebuild costs at and is modification of the firewall needed for the truck in my sig? Unfortunately I just had to pay out $1300 for an emergency root-canal so my cash cushion is a bit less cushy at the moment. Boy there's nothing quite like severe dental pain to humble ya, ouch!
