Napa oil sale

I know some people have a favorite oil. For those of us that do not. Napa has all their house brand oils on sale. Includes the 15w40 diesel oil. $1.99 a qt,made by valvoline. I grabbed 2 cases already.

Yeah, picked up 2 cases on Monday. I prefer Delo, but at the price I'm happy to try this since the CDR is shot and causing oil consumption.

So That's why NAPA here in town had such a big sale a couple weeks ago. Went up there yesterday and the place is empty, completly shut down. Oreilly just moved into town, a couple of weeks ago. Nice place. Seen all my old buddies from AutoZone working there now. Have to visit Azone for a roll of tape, see who's there now.

Thanks for the info. Just went and picked up 2 cases. May grab one more next week since it is such a good deal. $8 a gallon.

So SDEcon Van....got any pics of your van? Sounds pretty nice.

Yeah, Delo is my first choice but I'm just shaking my rig down and getting it running, and plan to flush things out before any scheduled oil
changes, so this NAPA stuff is perfect for this. Jayro88, I got over 2,000 pics of the conversion I did, I hope to put up some kind of thread
about it, hopefully on here. Once I get confident running my engine, I can continue my thread on the E4OD I built, too. I've got about 4 miles
on it and so far I keep pinching myself, transmission feels incredible, perfect firmness on shifts and a quick shift into reverse... ...but I digress,
I am thankful for all the help from this forum and thankful I saw this great price on fairly good oil!!!

just to touch on this with a different store, all O'reilly house brand oil is made by Omni Industries, who also makes the Exxon/Mobile and Shell oils

11.99/gal reg price for the 15-40 diesel oil, been using it for a couple of years

As far as the oil, a while back there was an analysis of a number of different diesel oils and there additive packages. IIRC Napa scored very high on this scale. Delo had 2 formulas, one was pretty good and was not. Can't remember if the good Delo was above Napa or not. May be worth looking in to since Napa oil is usaully a pretty good price and as stated before it is actually a rebottled Valvoline oil. That said I am a firm believer that consistent oild changes are what matters far more than the oil brand choice.
