Name best sealants and /or adhesives?

What works best as gaskets material; sealant; adhesive for equipment associated with WVO/ bio processing equipment? I’m intrigued as to what folks have had good luck with and also curious as to what don’t work. I bought a used bio processor and am looking for what to use to make sure it don’t leak where I have disassembled components to make repairs! I bought some .062 silicone sheet stock that I have fabricated several gaskets out of. I hope it holds up to the methanol; WVO; caustic soda; and sulfuric acid. I have been using aviation form-a-gasket on everthing so far. But nothing has been tested yet.

Black RTV has worked sealing up the high pressure system on my 'fuge. Black not Ultra Black.

This product has worked well for me sealing pipe joints. Always had problems with tape and whatnot but not with this stuff.
