My mirrors suck

There's enough wiggle room on both setups, particularly the thrown together one, that when tightened I can move the upper support rod and they stay put after I get them where I want them. Especially if I adjust the length of the upper support rod since the mirrors will move horizontally as you move them on the vertical plane. Keep 'em straight up and down when adjusting and they stay. But you definitely know if things start to loosen up, so lock washers are a must. I'll be putting 1 more upper support rod on each mirror on the Enterprise. They'll be parallel with the ground to kill the little bit of vibration I get and for a good plane to mount the CB antennas to.

I drive a big truck for a living and do most of my driving in said truck. I love having the convex mirrors and it kind of freaks me out when I have to drive a vehicle without them. Lol
New vehicles do have horrendous visibility. We had to drive my mother in law's Chevy Traverse and it was absolutely awful. I couldn't see on coming traffic in a curve because of the A pillar and the back 1/4 was a complete blind spot.
I'm hoping to get some bigger mirrors/ convex on my 95 F250. I may go with the west coast mirrors but I really like the SD mirrors as well. That would definitely be some working to get those on, though.

I still like the 7x10's enough that I have not changed them out to west-coast style.
Although all my other trucks are west-coast (except the dodge: factory originals).
Combined with the in-cab rearview, it is adequate for the small trucks.
