There's enough wiggle room on both setups, particularly the thrown together one, that when tightened I can move the upper support rod and they stay put after I get them where I want them. Especially if I adjust the length of the upper support rod since the mirrors will move horizontally as you move them on the vertical plane. Keep 'em straight up and down when adjusting and they stay. But you definitely know if things start to loosen up, so lock washers are a must. I'll be putting 1 more upper support rod on each mirror on the Enterprise. They'll be parallel with the ground to kill the little bit of vibration I get and for a good plane to mount the CB antennas to.
