MPG

I ran my MPG numbers after my fisrt fill-up. Getting 17.626mpg IMP, (21.18MPG US)....1/2 city and 1/2 highway driving, sitting in a lot of traffic (due to road construction) with the A/C running....Seem about right? I'm pleased, my 96 F150 4x4 was getting 14.5mpg IMP so I'm gaining some anyways.

I put your 17.626 imp mpg in there and it spit out 14.674 mpg US.

Makes sense I guess, 1 US gallon is .83 imperial gallons.

Still better than you were doing with the 150 and you can pack a helluva lot more weight in there too!

My bad, I see the error.....I think when the construction stops and etc it will get better. I hauled a few heavy lods on this fillup too so that dropped the #s a bit....Gotta run, I have to deliver the wood I'm splitting for my Grandad...He used to split it all himself but he had a stroke, has little money and his old house isn't insulated....I grab 3-4 cord of softwood for free for him. The 1st load is in the truck.

FWIW I get around 13-15 in town unloaded or lightly loaded on B100 with my truck. Its just like yours except it has a 6.9 and a C6(no OD) and an open differential

got a good baseline from the first 2 tanks in the van 6.9 c6...Im gettin 16.5-17...thats TWICE what my old crewcab 4x4 gasser got...

its still gettin a turbo...

I'll see how I make out on the 2nd fill-up. I think the numbers would be better after all this friggin road work is done and I stop hauling 1000's of litres or water home.......I'm trying to seed me backyard and my drilled well isn't that strong so I've been filling/hauling a 1000L tank home a few times a week from my work.

I consistantly get around 8.5 mpg, mostly city driving. But that's a 12K empty truck. My diesel Ford vans got about 15.5 mpg, calculated over hundreds of gallons. The weight and gearing make the difference.

There's been a lot of idle time lately, the route I take to work is under major construction so I gotta sit through it twice a day....107.2L (IMP) for 669km on this fill.

I averaged 14mpg with a heavy load on my old engine.

the "new" one seems to be getting a touch more.

I'm getting between 14-15 and if i could keep my foot out of it I'd get more?



And if i do the calculations with the fuel i buy i get somewhere around 45-50mpg..

man i love my alternate fuel diesel!!!!

107.2L = 28.36 US gallons(3.87L/gallon) 23.58 gallons Imp(4.546L/gallon)
669 KM = 415.7 miles.
So, that's 14.66 US MPG, 17.63 Imperial.
That's not bad at all considering extended idling.
Straight highway, my truck runs a solid 21 IMP/17.5 US, around town, 17 IMP/14 us...
Overdrive would help on the highway, and a block of wood under the pedal in town...
