All that makes sense then. I was probably wrong on where the balls came from then. I did remember only seeing them with a standard transmission so I guess I was partly right. I'll take it!

Well my truck is a smf so u guys think if that was the case they could of been hidding in theire this hole time

A little bit of grease and some clutch dust mixed together will hold these for a long time.

When I pulled the trans out of Big Red('93), I found several nuts and pieces stuck in the grease-cake on top of the transmission. Not counting the nuts and washers I'd found in the valley pan. I even found a lost socket there!

Judging by the layering, it had been there for years.
