main 12V+ on alternator and glow plug controller- wiring routing.

i was going to run 8 gauge wiring from the alternator to the main 12V feed on the starter thats 0/1 gauge.

and another to the glow plug controller.

do any of you see an issue with routing wiring this way?

besides the abundance of connectors on the starter...

I see that you are running multiple heavy gauge wires down to the starter. You really don't have a need to run that many high current wires down there. You can make a hot point on the fender and run the heavy wires there. You will be saving many head aches by doing this.

ive done this on many many gassers without an issue.(minus the GPC)
this is my first custom diesel... but not the last

as long as the wires are properly sized and the connections are good I don't see a problem. I think on mine the main power wire goes to the starter and a wire goes from the starter to the relay on fender and the alt and GP connect to that.

8 gauge doesnt seem very heavy. I run 2 gauge plus the factory wire from my alternator but its a 250amp. But running to the starter shouldnt matter, that's a good idea to keep them i hidden.
