Danielle,

Do you have a medium duty / big truck suspension shop in the area? They may have a rack large enough, and the knowledge to align one of these trucks. I have a guy locally who has a rack over a pit and can align anything..... he is who does all the alignments on my vehicles....

This is the type of shop I am talking about.... this is located in Illinois near where I grew up......

+1 on finding a shop with a medium duty truck "rack". Might be a little more coin, but even so it's worth it. Usually those guys know a little something more than your average lube station. I can't fit on any alignment ranks around here so I only have one place that can align the truck since they have a pit. The sensors they put on the wheels are usually self leveling and sync to each other instead of reflecting off a stationary machine. Seems like it tales some of the operator error out of it.

I have also found it tuff to find a good place to get a CCLB aligned. I stopped at a few places and I've been told that the I-beams sometimes have to be bent, is this true?

I'm sure a fully equipped shop will do what needs to be done to get a truck aligned. I have not heard about bending I beams but I only did an apprenticeship at Ford for a year so may just never heard it.

I found a light duty truck shop. He seems weird and it sounds like the type of place you can't really call ahead, just show up

Got the air conditioner venting in.
Updated 2 of the electrical outlets.

Found a bunch of refrigerators that will fit through the door, so won't have to wizzy wheel in a new one haha.

only had to bend the beams when they came with kingpins. the balljoint twin I beam has aligning sleeves for around the upper BJ. if they can't line it up with those the front must be pretty messed up.

* if you mark the old sleeves before you pull the old BJ out you can usually get away with just setting the toe. if you have the ability to change the BJs yourself, setting the toe would be a breeze*.

Heh heh heh

I have toe set nice so I can drive it to where it needs to go. Well nice in my opinion haha. The uppers had slotted camber offsets in them so they had to go in as they came out.

But I have brand new tires on it now and I want my twenty three year old truck with a quarter of a million miles ARROW STRAIGHT

Hahaha

Got the air conditioner wired and vented. Made use of the space the propane fridge had been. The new fridge will go where the old oven was. Cooking will be done outside.

Got the power steering bled and drove around my driveway haha

It has been raining every day or every other day for 5 weeks so painting has just not been happening. Frustrating but I have 41 days.

I searched for the last 18 months for an rv a.c. unit but they're literally 10x my budget. We used this last year in a really trashy rigged way haha. Now it can be hidden and used a bit more properly.

It rained this morning, so we only worked on my dad's boat a little bit. Now it is sunny and almost 80! I got an hour to grease my new balls (ha!) before picking up the kids.

Went to my sheriff's sale for the house I REALLY want, but the upset price was double what the house is worth. So now have to hunt down the bank and try to make an offer, or just move on to another property.

But six car garage.... hard not to cry!

If that house was a Foreclosure and the bidding ended without a buyer. Some Banks will eventually put it on the Real Estate market. Wells Fargo is good at doing that. Bought mine, went to auction, bid $58K, Wells bid $59K, auction ended. Bought the same house on the Market for $39K from Wells Fargo. LOL House is valued at $139K by County. 2000 Sq ft 132 x 132 lot. Wells Fargo had a $79K yet.

They announce ahead of time what the bank is going to bid up to. Thier reserve was almost 200k over market value! So we now know the bank who owns it so will be harassing them for an reo sale!

Tonight we did mostly planning. As with working on my dad's boat with him, I am really enjoying working with him and planning and talking about our toddlers growing up and out growing this little camper.

I have an opportunity to go to Hershey, about 3 hours ( maybe 4 with this pig!).

So I'm trying to get it buttoned up to make the haul out there. I do not want the rally to be my first big ride with the new parts!

Is anyone familiar with gray water systems?

Thanks Mel :) me too!

Today my brother worked all day in this heat and finished this side. He surprised me with a black stripe to match the truck!

Tomorrow he will be back at it again.

I want to drive the truck around but I am so terrified of these crappy jacks to hold up the camper!

I'll just have to test drive it loaded.

I also need to measure my height!!!
