it's a good thing it's going to be hot today and I'm working in it.

I'm driving TDT to put a few miles on it and it seems like it's dragging and the brake pedal is hard as a rock. Best the brakes have been though.

So I pull into the Shell station and the right front is smoking. Great! Now it's going to catch fire! Anyway I grabbed my water jug (which I remembered to fill up at the last minute--it's going to be hot remember) and throw the water on the back of the disk to cool it down.

Ah yes, add that to the list of things to do.

I don't know if I'm going to tell Amy or not. She's even starting to talk about a new truck.

you're right. Once they get to a certain age, there's something to do all the time. But, you could have 700-800/mo. payment and 800 yr insurance and extra taxes on tags and......

Good luck,
Don

Ouch! Not sure about pouring water on it. That may have ruined the rotor, but I understand that your trying to save the bearings and such. That whole wheel is going to need a thourough going over.

One word for ya "Glenbrook" ;Poke :rotflmao

Nah seriously man I feel your pain. No throwing water on the rotor was not a good thing but if left dry the next step would have been much worse...

I had to bite the bullet. I'm paying someone to yank and replace the condensor and charge the a/c. He's also going to replace the driver's side window motor. I can't even fit my hands in the door, let alone my whole arm.

That should clear up my Saturday to tear all 4 brakes apart and go through the whole system. I was planning to do it anyway.

Now all I have to do tonight is finish the gauges in the dash.

See you Friday.
