The other day I took my injectors out of my 94 IDI, and put them in my 92.
to make long story short, thing ran a ton better. The problem now is I got excessive fuel leakage out of the injectors. Thought I would be mister fix it, and ordered new return line kit. I intalled it tonight, and to be on the safe side put my original injectors back in w/ the new copper washers. Test ran and now I have three still leaking. I know the caps are on all the way to the shoulder,(have checked two or three times). All lines are tight. My Question after all this histoy lesson I guess is ----- could the injectors possibly not opening enough or not at all. The reason I ask is becouse the leakage is severe, not your usual o ring leakage. Was going to order new injectors anyway, but just thought Id give yall something to chew on. Any replies would be greatly apreciated.

Cant pinpoint it, the fuels flowing out like fountain in front of ceasers palace. Honestly I was trying to determine that very thing, when the sun conveniently went down behind the rockies. Had my best wal mart flashlight out, head poked down near enough to the fan that I could feel the wind in my hair and really couldnt tell. Ill have to take a closer look tomorrow.

did you cross thread a couple of injector line nuts. so they they seem tight but arent sealing on top of the injector right. it is an easy thing to do.

Screwed them all on by hand by wiggling hard lines back and forth, as I always do. Im 97.5 % sure I didnt. theyre all about a 16th of an inch from top of plastic caps. I will definately double check, cause ive done stupider stuff in my day. I did tighten w/ line wrench after giving them a ********!!!

If the motor is running smoothly and its still leaking then its from the return lines. If its missing or running badly then its leaking from the hard line connections. When installing the two o-rings the correct way is to install the top one and roll the lower o-ring over the top one. No need to try to move the top one in and out of the top grove down to the bottom grove. That causes more cut or damaged o-rings than anything else.

Did o rings just like that, motor is not running quite as good as it was with 94 injectors, but its not missing and starts good. Throttle response much better with 94s out of the hole. Any ideas where to get parts for sidewinder? And anyone interested in ip from 94( have two would be interested in getting rid of) also have stock 94 ats turbo w/wastegate. 94 motor parts (heads, filter housing, etc.) block locked up, have not torn in to it to see problem.

somebody should be interested in the ats turbo setup, but with the parts hard to come by to fix the sidewinder, why not keep the ats.

You might want to close your ears for this---but most likely dropping a 12 valve cummins in my 94 f-350. Will be ditching sidewinder as well. dont know yet just toying with the idea.
