Ok I decided today to try and turn my ip up 1 flat, after getting the cover play off the side of the ip and 20 min trying to line up the Allen screw I finally made contact, lol, so my question is , is that screw really hard to turn cause I feel like I done no good at all. I even put a little crescent on it, thought I might have turned it a flat but I can tell hardly and difference at all if any... Would I really be able to tell a difference? And my truck is hard to start after it get hot, would turning the fuel up help lt start and better? Seems like to me it would cause when it won't start it seems like it's not getting any fuel... Any help our thoughts would be great.. I'm also looking for a ip if anyone has a good one for sale

Good job looking for an IP, especially with your warm hard starting issue. That is a good indication of an IP near the end of it's life. Most of these fuel screws are really tight and can be a real pain to turn. One flat may not help you much, you may have to go for more, either way, a pyrometer is in your future before you take it too far.

Do you like your straight pipes on your truck ? I've been thinking about doing it but I'm afraid it will sound like a gasser?

If your experianceing a hard hot start issue try adding a quart of most any oil to the fuel tank. This will thicken up the fuel. A hard start hot or warmed up engine generally is felt to be the injection pump clearances are just too worn out to pump fuel when the engine is hot. Also pouring some cool water on the pump may help but caution. Cold water can shrink it so much the main shaft snaps off. About a 1/2 qt of water works. Its poured on the aluminum case near the hard line head. Don't pour it on top of the pump at the return fuel shotoff wires. That wont help anything.

Yeah my screw was hard to turn after about 2 turns so I left it go there. Smokes like a SOB now. But didn't really feel much of a power difference...

If youre NA then the reason you didnt feel a power increase is most likely because youre overfueling.
