Ok I'm reviving a dead thread because this has the exact thing I need to do with a part number and picture, my question is is there a bolt hole behind the idler pulley right where this was installed that this can be directly mounted into or did a hole have to be made and does the pulley come with a bolt to put in there or what.
I put a stud in the water pump mounting hole, but and flat washer, then pulley,I did custom machine a hub for the pulley to perfectly center it. The hub that comes with the pulleys will work with shimming
Thanks for the reply on this. I'm not 100% sure what you mean with the shimming part. Does it not fit without hitting into the main belt crank area if you just take that bolt out and put a stud in there and bolt the idler with some nuts between some washers on or is the stud that goes in there not the right width for the hole in the idler?
I tried to tighten my alternator today and got it to tighten some but that did next to nothing so I'd still like to take a stab at this should I ever get the thing from summit haha..
Ok awesome. I apologize I keep thinking of questions one at a time. So, if I take the bolt that is in there out to go find an appropriate sized stud does everything else stay together (not gonna drive it like that obviously)..
