ive noticed some people on here talkin about them but havent been able to find out much about them . can anyone steer me in the right direction or get me any info on them? is there any reason they can't be used with a turbo'd idi? does anyone have one in they're rig that can notice a difference? im going to be tearing my **** down soon for new turbo , injectors , and pump and would like to do a cam while im at it.

This is correct and.... He has a turbo on his engine too with an intercooler. I'm told it pulls like it has a set of 4.10 gears but he is running a set of 3.55 gears. That right there tells me that motor is laying down some power. Time for a dyno run Russ.....:sly

Alot of us been waiting for the dyno run comparison before and after of the "logger cam" but nothing yet. The way it was described is it changes the torque rpm range. I don't think it will be big pony difference but like stated you may notice it pulls better at a lower rpm.

id also be willing to dyno before and after . i know of a chassis dyno in town here that i can do 3 pulls for 75$. i don't know how long it would take me to do so as right now i still need to send my ip to mel ,i plan to run bb injectors which i haven't picked up yet either but those aren't a big deal as im gettin them almost free. i have the turbo and intercooler already , the only problem is that if i dyno'd before and after it wouldn't be giving you guys a good idea of what the cam alone does, im going to a bigger turbo and intercooling it (finally) and right now my pump is about shot so im sure there will be a big difference by going to a full moose and bb's. but anyhow , what should i be looking at as far as pricing on these logger cams?

Last I heard the russ cam was around $200.00. Thats a deal seeing international will charge around $800.00 for a new cam... I have found cams on ebay for $99.00 and $175.00 too so you see the russ cam is a really fair deal. I should get one just because... And nope... I wont be keeping it as a behind the rar seat spare guys...... Probably install it if I ever install one of my hypermax intercoolers.. Its really sad that I have not installed that yet.... So much time and doing nothing.... Sad it is...:rolleyes:

yeah.i think thats going to be the trouble.it seems the people wanting the cam, also want to make other changes at the same time.thus would make totally wasted dyno info.not for you.but all us wondering what the cam provides.

icanfixall,
its not a cam replacement.you need to send yours to Russ.he then sends it out for the custom grind, and sends it back to you.
so your not paying for a cam.just a regrind.
agree about the price though.it's reasonable.

Ive ridden in russ's truck. His combo is amazing. Smooth power, and tons down low. Puts my trucks bottom end to shame.

Have run mine, but have do not have miles on it. Definately part of a good power combo. I THINK it was 2 bones or so but that is VERY reasomable.
