My brake booster is leaking fluid so I am going to swap it with my spair. What is the proper fluid to use? I have just been running power steering fluid is that right?

Yes. Power steering is correct.

I prefer to run tractor hydraulic for trans and wet brakes, its an awesome fluid and will hold up to more than we can throw at it. I have it in the dually trans, ps/hydro and GV.

My spair unit was sitting with out a line hooked up and its looks to be full of ice. I wish I new that line was off when the parts truck got pushed outside.

warm it up and blow air and oil thru it and try it. the oil may have protected it.
