So that is what my truck is 'sposed to look like. ;)

That is gorgeous. -Drool-Drool

If it was here, I'd buy it in a heartbeat for $6,950.00.

I think that is a nice collector piece.

Im old but I bought my truck in 2012. Here's what $3100+tax gets you in Calif. These trucks are just old trucks her. Mine sat on the lot, unmoved for 3 weeks while I himhawed over the price. I felt it was a $2500 truck.

You must be registered for see images attach

You guys are killing me with that nice rust free metal.

I installed that type of running boards on Trucks back in the late 80's...Dam I'm getting old.....I want a 93 or 94 Truck in that good of shape...

those, though many people don't care for them anymore are the best type to use imho.i put a set on my '96 and wish i did again on my '93 f250 instead of the nurf bars.the things are worthless.just for looks only.they are too high up by the door and too far in to fit your foot on 'em.i should toss 'em and go with running boards but probably wont lol.
i tell ya what though,i wont make the same mistake twice.those old school diamond plate boards are going on the f450.i like the classic looks anyway.
good luck with your 9th gen idi hunt.;Sweet

the original truck is nice, but that is pretty steep for what she is.4 speed manual,n/a 6.9
did that get the d44 or the d50?

Interesting... So that's what my front bench seat would have looked like? Time to save the photos for reference!

Anyone have a idea where I could get running boards like that for my truck?

Junkyards have been all smashed up, usually because of how they take them out on the forklifts

I had those running boards on my 86 and threw them away about 4 years ago, didnt think anybody would want them.

She's a beauty that's for sure! And in my back yard. I'd give 8K for it and not bat an eye.

Biggest thing for me is bodywork. Any truck I find around here has a ton of rust, and they easily go for $2500. I've found several in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Arizona in the $3500-4000 range, needing work here n there, but rust free.

I figure I'd easily have $7500 into either type, by the time I figure in bodywork as needed, refreshing drive line, interior, engine etc. Then another $3k into turbo n go fast parts. I've owned, and sold, too many of these trucks. The next one I get is going to be built right, and ready for hopefully 10 years of service for me.

BTW, is Darrin Tosh still around? I'd like to hear his thoughts, as well as see what he might have to sell.

Yup, I am around!,.. It is a beautiful truck and you have the right idea to justify purchasing the truck. If I had that truck for sale on my lot here in MI, I would ask $10K for it. I have not had one that old and nice in quite a while.

If it is what you are looking for, buy it, Specimens like this are getting very hard to come by!

man wish i had a truck that looked that nice, im sure Darrin knows but Michigan is real bad for salting the roads in the winter along with having allot of moisture from the lakes, i be leave Michigan has one of the largest slat mines and they sure like to use the crap, i remember when i got my truck about 2 years ago it had a small rust spot on the drivers side fender, now you can put your entire arm through it, and Darrin i still think about that green crew cab i almost bought from you a while back and maybe in a few years i can get a nice clean truck like that from you, i would pay 10k with out a problem to get a good old ford diesel truck rust free, its a very rare sight in Michigan, i have to replace my bed, both fenders, rocker panels, and hood because of rust and my truck is still worth around 5k in Michigan

Look at what trucks cost today, good old trucks will be selling for 10 plus grand soon of the 3/4 ton plus variety. I feel lucky I got what I got for sure. As soon as all these old trucks are gone they are gone and look how expensive the new ones are to fix.

No AC! That's a $1500 truck here in the desert! LOL The maintenance records show 30wt oil for most if not all its life. I cant even buy that here any more.

Well it's relisted. I'm not in the position right now to purchase, wife had lung surgery 2 months ago and I just got a pretty nasty knee injury at work last week, so it'll get put on hold.

Just wondered what others thoughts were mainly. Amazing how different areas of the country have different valuations on the same vehicle lol.

Darrin, I think I'll give you a shout first when I do get ready to make a purchase. Would be the second IDI I picked up from MI if I would buy from you lol.
