I'm looking at an 02 jetta 5-speed with over 300K on it. Mainance has been done and most miles were from cross country trips. Should I keep looking due to the mileage? What kind of repairs am I looking at with that kind of miles? It still averages 45mpg.

Yup we do. It has 225K on it. Great car, Depends on what they want for the car. Sticks are better than the autos, other than the timing belt, and normal maintenance it should be fine.

Gotta run for now,..

We have them at my place. The 98 has 215k, 01 has 138k and the 03 has 80k . We've never really had to do much more than timing belts and ac compressors and they all still run great. The 99 even still has the oriinal clutch. Its usually the interior that suffers over the years.
