Heim Joint clutch repair parts

If I were to make up a few new shafts that fit in the slave cylinder and have a 3/8-24 thread on the other end that you could screw on a heim joint would anyone be interested in buying one?

Second question is there a easy way to remove that rod from the slave? I pulled on out and wrecked the metal clip that holds it in good thing it was not the on in my truck.

YES.....

AND a RESOUNDING YES actually....

to remove the rod from the clutch MC takes a tool similar to a fuel line disconnect tool or AC disconnect tool.

I took and made one from a small plastic funnel. I found a small funnel cut the tip off, slit it length wise slipped over the rod in MC and pressed that into the MC opening the fingers and withdrawing the rod with no problem....bench tested on pos MC, PRIOR TO using it on a GOOD MC!

I'm sure if you can fab a new rod, you can fab a tool...maybe some tubing done similar to above?

I was thinking to remove it a tool like a fuel line disconnect would work. Not having what I need at home and wanting to get the shaft out a small screw driver and some force freed the shaft. That slave has been sitting on the pile of spare parts so no big loss.

I will make up a few and if someone needs one just let me know.

they need to be good cold rolled or tool steel, mild will bend. Just letting you know, been down that road.

Last Friday morning after work the ball joint/ tie rod end that the last owner of my truck fixed the clutch linkage with broke. Came to a stop sign pressed in the clutch and SNAP pedal on floor no clutch floated gears and got it home. Rigged it up to make it work for a few days until I could find parts. Got it together today with a nice heim joint WOW now that's a smooth clutch!! It actually feels much softer also.

Every truck I've done the hein joint mod to has the owners tellin me they have to relearn how to drive the truck because the clutch engages differently.

Got that right!! that's exactly what i thought when I jumped in it after i fixed it.

i know this is a couple months old, but what is the status of these parts and can you post a picture of what you are actually talking about? different people have different names for these things and i just want to be sure it is what i think it is. thanks

I'm pissed, thé last two times my mc and slave gave out I had to pay 60$ to get it towed, i tried floating gears when the slave went out but it grinded once so I just pulled over.

Anywho, if you replace the slave with one of the bigger ones your clutch pedal will feel the same as new trucks pedals are.....i know this from experience its worth it

This is the best picture I could get. Basically you cut the eye end off the shaft and thread it to put a joint on. I was going to make some up but there was no interest so I never made any.
