So my cheap Chinese starter took out a tooth on my flywheel. Scouring Craig's list I found a nos dual mass flywheel in B.C. Canada for $400 U.S. I wanted that because my clutch was SOOO good. This truck has been mine for 14 years. 160,000 miles. I drive it about 1000 to 2000 a year. But I could no communicate on craigslist. Found a used flywheel that checked out locally. Good to go or so I thot.. so I pull the Trans, clutch and to my surprise it was not a dual mass and the flywheel said made in China! And the used flywheel was a 11 inch and the one I removed was 12 inch. The one in the truck had 8 bolts holding the pressure plate and the used one had only 6 bolts. So after much research on this and other forums I found the clutch I needed. Luk 07-225. It will be here in a few days. It has 8 bolts holding the pressure plate on so I assume it is a 12 inch. What to watch for. The disk has 10 springs with 4 being in an inter circle and 6 in the outer circle. These extra 6 springs make up for the dual mass springs.

. As I said I searched this and other forums and could not find all this info in one spot, or several spots. I hope this helps some of you that are having clutch issues.

in conclusion: In my opinion forget the dual mass, just be sure you get the disk with more springs.
