Chris there are no coolant lines to the head that must come out as far as I can remember. There is a heater hose line on the front of the block that comes from the water pump and one that returns to the block from the heater core just under the head, but as far as I can remember all I did was take the rubber hoses loose from these fittings.

The return line is into the passenger side head. They have a normal (copper I think) nipple that requires some work to get loose. Depending on the milage, you may want to just replace the hose. If you replace it, just take a razor blade to the hose and cut it. Then push a screwdriver into it and push and it will peel off.

I will see if my SM page has pix of the fitting, but it sticks like glue to the hose.

Chris, there is about six small, 1/4 or 5/16 hex screws on that cover you are talking about. The head of the screw will be facing the engine. The top three are easy and in plain sight, the bottom three not so much. There is also a 12 or 13 mm bolt inside the cab on the passenger side about at the top of the carpet line that needs to come out. After that the cover will split in two and the peice towards the engine will come out. Good luck bro;Sweet
