head bolts

before i get studs does any one over torque their bolts to help the clamping force?
and to what spec?

Asking for trouble on that one and I dont care what the Diesel POwer article says on the cummins
That is why I went with studs, fine threads on the top will increase the force a lot. And I have tested mine thoroughly.

over torquing them just streches them and makes clamping force worse dont it?
i saw that article in this issue of DP and i was like ***?

haha well i know its ******* them ii ws just seeing if anyone has done it, i guess ill b in the market for studs this year

Has anyone ever actually had a head gasket blow because of too much boost? Me and crash 86 used to get 20 lbs with stock bolts, no problems.
