Thats an ok manual but I feel the International shop manual numbers CGES-435-1 shows more information. But the Haynes will do fine. notice it shows the proper way to install the oil pan.. no gasket.. Just RTV.. So what .. Just because your overhaul gasket set comes with a pan gasket there is no reason to install whats not needed. Plenty of gaskets left over in an overhaul kit anyway.

Yeah its a nice manual for bolt on fixes. I thought it was wierd grouping chevy and ford. Sounds like they would not have liked that.

Ill ask my friend about that IH manual. He works at a big rig shop

I have the same manual, but with a different cover. Both are #1736.

I just saw that you're in SR. I'm about 15-20 minutes from there.

Paid 5 bucks for one just the other day, I'll get a pic n share with ya...yers are all in much nicer condition

I have the same one but it has the powerstroke on the front, I hate how Haynes republishes the same book but guts out have the info each time, mine doesn't even show the pump turning tool or anything about the IP. Same thing with the truck book, the old version had all the good wiring diagrams and diagrams for diffs and transmission, the new one with the same ISBN# has nothing in it now. There going down hill

But I did manage to score some books from a closing IH dealer
