might be getting my first idi back :D. if my truck sells im buying my old truck back. hes done a few things to i, hes put an AAL in, wheels, 35s, not pictured but all new headlights and parking lights and a few more dents in the bed LOL. he hasnt had any problems out of it other than a cracked injector line. he also turned the pump up a few flats without a pyro . i told him the only way id buy it is if he turned it back down to stock. well anyways heres a pic of how it sits now other than the front bumper and lights.

now I'm curious.... I've never sold a vehicle and bought it back. Is he selling it for around the same price you bought it for?

I'd be scared someone hurt my ole truck. Maybe I'm too personal with a machine, but I try to sell the vehicles I really like far from home so I don't have to see them.

good luck, hope it works out for you, it'll be like slipping into a comfy pair of boots you already broke in.

i dont think he's hurt anything on it. i see him about everynight. ive been on to him for a while about selling it back to him. he finally said he would sell it but wouldnt price it. i figured it would be high but not really. i was leaning more towards yours untill he priced it. if i buy it i will have about $200 less in it than before. i was really wanting a turbod one but if i sell my truck and buy this ill still have enought money for a turbo :D. i still maybe interested in yours but want to see if this goes threw or not. o and he swapped the 3:55s out for $4:10s ;sweet

$200 difference isn't bad at all.

ohh yeah man, you WANT a turbo. When I first got the truck I remember I'd need to get a running start to pass someone doing 55mph on a country road.
add moose pump, fresh injectors, and a turbo:
I was passing someone driving back from Jax a few weeks ago. He was doing 65, I jammed on the skinny pedal and had to back off by the time I was alongside him. I am NOT comfortable driving one of these old rigs at 90mph.

(not any brand specific) A fresh fuel injection pump, injectors and a turbo make these things VERY drivable at modern highway speeds.
If you scrap around, a decent turbo kit (get a whole kit) should be around $1000, a set of injectors and pump should be $700ish. For what it gives you it is a very decent investment.

if i get the truck it wont be sold again. in time it will get a moose pump, a turbo, fresh bb code injectors or maybe g code. it seems abull was very happy with his g codes. first thing it needs it tires and an alignment but it comes with a set of 16" wheels and some 285s so those will be temporary. im sure hoping i can get it. not sure if i should do a turbo first then ip and injectors or ip and injectors first then turbo. i will have right at $1000 left over if my truck brings the asking price. id lose money on my truck if i had to so i can get this one back.

I really would like my old brown truck back, too...

I sold it for next-to-nothing, mostly because my wife griped and complained every day I owned it. She has since realized that it really IS a good investment having an old pickup as opposed to a brand new rig with a $1000 a month payment. :D

I'd defininately say "do it" ;Sweet
