glow plug wiring question

need a lil advice on glow plug wiring I switched over to push button system seemed fool proof thanks to the tech forum on here every thing seems to work when i push the button relay clicks every thing seems fine but still hard to start thinking i had some bad glow plugs started checking found i have 11 volts on wire feeding glow plug as long as the switch is on even if the button is not mashed thats not right is it ? also removed 2 1/2 glowplugs 1 covered in oil and 1 swelled up left it for now ran outta day light. any advice is well appreciated

Put your meter directly on the battery and see what the voltage reading is, just to make sure the meter is correct. You should get something closer to 12v, unless your meter is a little off.
