Is there a good way of checking if the glow plug control on the 6.9 system is good or bad. I have bosch plugs that are barely a year old, new glow plug relay, engine has been timed properly and new injectors about a year ago, oh and the compression check is great on all cylinders. Got in the truck this morning at it was about 40 degrees outside, glow plug light was on for about 10 to 15 seconds and had to give it a quick shot over either after about 10 seconds of cranking. had white smoke puffing the whole time so i believe it is getting fuel. Thoughts please.

Put a volt meter on the output side of the GP relay, you should have 12VDC out. If not, then the relay contacts are shot or the relay is not pulling in. If you have 12VDC out then your GP's are not all glowing or all are shot. If the Gp's are all OK, then with the white smoke you may have air intrusion. Or your not turning over fast enough, or the IP is not timed right. Amen.
