I just have general questions . And honestly I have no idea how these forums work it any other for that matter

What are your questions? Go ahead and post them up. If you are looking for answers for a 1983-1987 6.9 IDI or a 1988-1994 7.3 IDI (The entire truck, not just the engine), you are in the right place. If you have questions for something else, look for that subforum on the first page.

Or, if you don't think its a question that belongs in the tech forums, post up in the lounge. It's farther down on the front page, and where a lot of things are discussed.
