Gear Oil Capacity of 10.25

Need to know the capacity of a 10.25 in pints, quarts, imperial gallons or what ever you know. I want to fill it with the cover off on the jack stands before I button it up and bolt it in.

Says 6.5-7.4 Pints, equal to 3.25-3.75 Quarts.

Just put a gallon in, then once its together, drain the excess from the fill hole.

Are ya gonna put the finned aluneenum cover on there to dissipate some heat while you've got it apart?
