Gas to Diesel Swap

Ok, so i have been wanting to mate a zf-5spd with my 6.9 so i can get a little more speed and power to the wheels of my 6.9 diesel which is an 87, i was thinking today what if i were to buy a cheaper like 90's gas pickup, F-250 or 350 that has a zf-5spd in it, and put my 6.9 diesel in it in place of the gas motor, is this possible, and if so would it be direct mounting to the motor mounts on the frame, tranny, etc? if you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated.

does the zf-5spd not have the bbf bolt pattern on the gas motor?

This is found in the Tech Articles. This should answer your questions regarding the Gas ZF bolting up to the 6.9.

The easiest swap would be to install a Zf into your current truck.

Motor mounts, core support would need changed. Probably easier to put the ZF5 into your current truck.
Is your truck currently auto or manual?
