Anybody seen any of the g codes available anywhere? Anybody building injectors using that nozzle?
have a set that is getting pretty worn, and I prefer them over the other letter code injectors.

We're screwed....
Bb's were the stuff.
Hunt the vendors list.
Then deep dive into the 1 you are interested in.....

Fascinating, I haven't looked into that stuff. My injectors in my truck are "BB"s. Will it just say "G", like how mine say "BB"?

I think your best bet is to call a vendor and ask them to do a custom set. Seems like all anyone makes are "Stock" and "Stage 1" injectors anymore.

Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
IIRC yes.
Also IIRC "B" or "BB" or "G" & other "#"etc etc were stamped on certain kind/Brand of injectors.... Like CAV or some different brands. Some Brands are stamped differently, etc, etc.
Also IIRC "G" were for "Turboed" engines.

(don't hold me to any of this. I'm not thinking very well this evening.
I had to go help my Doctor out this morning. He got LOTS of bills to pay ((fishing boat payments, golf clubs to pay for, etc, etc.)) So I let him do another Out-Patient Surgery on me this morning so he could make some money today. & he sorta got me slowed down & sitting on the couch this evening)

I got several set of used injectors out there in the shed/shop that I'll try to go look at in the morning.
I also I had Russ @Type4 rebuild a few set of injectors for me & IIRC he said it didn't really matter what brand/kind if injectors, he just rebuilt them the same in a set.
Also IIRC he told me he always set them to pop at 1850#
I had a place in Dallas, Tx (on Regal Row) that used to rebuild my injectors & they set them to pop at 2000#

That's the way that most, if not all, of them are today. It's been long enough since they've been new that the stamps don't mean anything.

Since injector offerings are relatively minimal these days it would be great to have some feedback/info regarding the new injectors being sold by places like accuratediesel.com . Of course I would prefer to buy from a reputable rebuilder who pressure matches the set but IF there were some decent new ones it'd be useful to know which ones. Maybe this has been covered somewhere but I can't find any info.

We have had several injector rebuilders that we have recommended HIGHLY! Some have moved on, some have passed away and some have closed their businesses. I am not sure who still remains in business...

Yep. The original injectors had a letter code that referenced the calibration/nozzle.

I looked into G codes, apparently they were later model turbo idi nozzles strictly for emissions reduction, so I assume either a modified spray pattern or different pop pressure/volume per stroke. All stuff that can be adjusted by a reputable builder.

I have heard the emissions thing, and I will say that my truck has cleaner exhaust with them, but also pulls ( trailers) noticeably better, and gets better mpg doing so. Have tried them back to back against bb codes and d codes, same load same trip.

..... wait a minute, here.... you swapped injectors on side of the road so you could compare them?

Lots of timing adjustments, boost adjustments, even fuel adjustments on the side of the road or parking lots, but no injector swaps.....
