fuel pump burning out

I have a 2001 PS F250 SD that just started to eat the fuel pump I have 76,000 miles on truck replaced fuel pump on 4 21 2006 and went out on 4 27 2006 locked up again, replaced 4 28 2006 at 10 am and by 6 pm was locked up and was too hot to touch. any ideas on what is going on with truck.

Probably either something blocking the flow into the pump or after the pump. If it has to suck to hard that will eat them up quick, like if the tank pickup is clogged. If you have a pre-pump filter that could be clogged too. You can plumb in a vacuum gauge before the pump and a pressure gauge after the pump to see what it's reading.
