Just put in new injectors and are working the air out of the lines, checking for leaks. My truck is still running rough, the only place i have seen any mount of fuel leaking is at one of my injectors that has a extension on top of it connected to the fuel line, is this my pressure sensor?, its the only thing parts wise i could come close to finding that looked like it. I thought to wrap the threads in tape to maybe seal it off better, is this the right part i am looking at or is it some thing else?.

Nope. That's the ferret adapter for timing.
Don't use thread tape. Or sealer of any kind.

its all hard line, you may not have it seated correctly.
gotta inspect the ends and make sure you didn't tighten it down funky.

I hope to get that sealed and work the rest of the air out of the lines, don't think ill have to re-time anything never have done that work before but would like to know how. My truck is rattling and shacking when starting up and don't know if the PO had ever had it timed right.

My bet is you cross threaded that fitting. You can not run without this fitting because that will shorten that line. Then you cause plenty of issues. The reason the engine is shaking badly is that injection is not building enough pressure to pop open the injector because of the leak. Time to remove that injector line and fix the threads on that fitting. They are no longer available too. Mine has always been horrible to get started when tightening too. I found loosening the fitting and both ends of the hard line gives me more slack to make the threads fit better. I have even removed the line and bent it attempting to make it fit better. I have replaced the line with several spares but same issue. If you choose to remove this fitting you can but you will need to buy a injector hard line made for a van. On the van application this fitting is located on number 4 cylinder and not on number one like on your truck engine. Figure around 50 bucks for the new line from Conestoga Diesel of Pa. or an ebay seller.

Sounds like cross threaded fitting. Remove and inspect. Is the TOP or BOTTOM of fitting leaking yiu never did say.

Where did you get your replacement injectors from?

Yes retiming engine would be a great idea....maybe search here using search...plenty on tkming engines and Gary rents meters out to do so.

From what i remember when putting the hard line on it was very difficult to fit, ill try removing it and trying again i can see it leaking fuel around the top by the line. Might try bending it a bit to relieve some of that tension also.

you may have stripped the adapter.
check threads CAREFULLY

The hard line nut is the hard material compared to the adapter or the injectors. So the nut will strip the threads on the injector or the adapter. Remove the adapter and use a knife edge file to clean up the threads. Leave this adapter loose on the injector when you attempt tightening by HAND the injector line.

When you changed the injector, you probably disconnected the adaptor from the injector with the hard line still connected, maybe. You have to hold the adaptor with a wrench, then disconnect the the hard line nut, then disconnect the adaptor from the injector, to reinstall, remove the hard line clamp, loosen the hard line nut at the IP, install the adaptor on the injector, then screw the hard line nut on the adaptor by hand all the way down, tighten both nuts, IP and adaptor, adjust/bend hard line to replace clamp. that should do it, provided all the threads are OK.

Edit: Typed this in yesterday, forgot to hit the post button. Auto save, a good thing.

Ended up just having to bend the fuel line a little to take the pressure off, then i was able to screw it down by hand and no more leak.

Better still shake a bit at first start, maybe cause the air in the lines?. Still smoken tho hoping that goes away.
