I know there are a lot of 80-97 crew cab owners on here, and with the age of our trucks, issues like this are bound to come up. The spring on passenger's side rear door hinge broke in two the other day. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the door could be held open. Dorman makes a "spring" that will help with a broken front door hinge spring, but the rear door springs are different and that Dorman spring will not work. One bolt removed and one rivet drilled out removes the broken spring, but where to get another? I suppose a trip to the yard is in order. Anybody have to deal with this issue? I don't want to replace the whole hinge, and I think it would be fairly easy to swap in a new spring - just can't find them anywhere. I appreciate any suggestions, or if anybody has a passenger rear hinge or spring they could part with please let me know. Thanks!
