x3 on angled rear corners....square corners hurt like hell when you catch em walkin by.

I am just worried about making sides and the headache rack with the angled corners. We will see. I got rained out today after making the front and back pieces. I got to go look at ANOTHER truck tomorrow. That would make 10cookoo

Nice flat beds! I'd love to make my own but im lazy and i'd probably start workin on it then give up haha. Aluminum would be the only way i'd go since they use so much damn salt here. A steel wouldnt last long here im afraid.

Is the 5" channel going to face out or inwards? If you face it inwards you can use short pieces of channel and flat stock for stake pockets. Angle the flat stock in towards the corners at the ends. This will offset the square look a little and allow you to keep straight sides for a more simple build.

Channel will be facing in. I am building stake pockets from 2x4 tubing with a 1/4x2 rub rail.

And Thats what I was thinking with the rub rail. Come off the last stake pocket and angle to the corner of the body.I was even thinking about using one continuous piece all the way around the truck, just heating and bending my way around the truck

Thanks for the pics guys. I have the body its self all done(still need minor things). I am going to start on the headache rack today.

here is what I have so far. I made a "filler panel" for the back rub rail so when dumping things dont get caught
