My 85 had homemade brackets, made from 1" square tubing. They did a pretty good job, I sold them on CL for $20. I also found a pair on a 90 that I parted out that were manufactured, had a label but cant remember who was on it. I sold those on CL as well.

Is an extra cab different from a supercab? I am no techie when it comes to these trucks but I did notice when shopping around a few months ago that some trucks had a tunnel down the middle, and some had what looked like a small back bench seat but with no legroom like you said, like only good for storage and kids.

On ours though it is flat across the floor front and back so a normal sized guy could actually sit back there. Leg room with our front bench is another story but the room in ours seems to be the same as a friends 2008 dodge 4 door pickup 2500.

A super cab is made by FORD. An Extended cab is made by GM. And dodge calls theirs a Quadcab:puke:

Some of the 80's trucks had jump seats in the back of the cab instead of the bench. I saw one such truck in the junkyard a couple years ago.

Both my trucks have the rear bench raised by about 4". The F150 came with it when my dad bought it used. My F250 got the upgrade I made for it after studying the F150 "lift kit".

Its possibe that this was once available as a dealer kit.

I have a kit too. It's made out of 1/4 inch flatstock steel. The latch to lock the back up has to be moved also.

Actually I do. Mankypro asked for it a while ago;Sweet

What you see here is the F150 with what I think is a dealer or aftermarket kit.
The 3 point seat belt was my doing though.
