Muffler rusted out and fell off. Head pipe still looks fine. Should I put muffler and new tail pipe on or go straight pipe out at the tire

If your running a turbo, straight pipe isn't too bad.
If your N/A, straight pipe is pretty obnoxious...you ain't sneaking up on ANYBODY. Trust me.
It all comes down to your preference ... and your relationship with your neighbors.

I've got a 28" glasspack on my NA 7.3 and it's really not terrible. Yeah it's loud but bearable.
Factory exhaust though so if yours is larger that may change things.

You might look at Flowmaster. Very little restriction ad good sound.
